2017. It was the Year of the Rooster. It was also the year we introduced our popular rooster apron, The Rooster Rules.

Did that mean that during 2017 the rooster ruled? Well, according to Chinese tradition, roosters can be pretty opinionated, even demanding. But they’re also hard workers who epitomize energy. Roosters are people with a plan and the dedication to see it through. In ancient rural China, the rooster’s job was to crow, telling everyone in the household that it was time to get up and get to work.

Specifically, January 28, 2017 through February 15, 2018 was the Year of the Fire Rooster. And according to Chinese tradition, the fire rooster is something special –  a trustworthy insightful natural leader with good money management skills. Fast learners, they adapt quickly to new challenges. Yes, roosters rock. And they rule, too!
