If you ever plan to travel west
Travel my way
Take the highway that’s the best
Get your kicks on Route 66
“(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66” – Bobby Troup

OK, so Route 66 was long ago replaced as a main route of travel west by our national highway system. But, that’s OK; with our new Route 66 apron, you can still get your kicks. Well, sort of. Our new apron honors our national love of travel — and Route 66.

Stretching more than 3000 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica, California, Route 66 was one of our first highways. It literally changed the way we traveled across the U.S. But it took a 1960s TV show, Route 66, and its catchy theme song to imprint it lovingly into our national consciousness.

The Spirit of Route 66 Lives On

In its heyday, Route 66 really was something special. Fun, adventurous, and seemingly everywhere.

And in their Route 66 fabric, the Alexander Henry Design House captured all of this for posterity. Our Route 66 apron is made from this beautifully detailed fabric. State Route 66 markers. License plates that litter the route and take us back to times long gone. A map of roads and routes now labeled as Historic Route 66. This design recreates it all.

Oh yes, in pockets across the country, Route 66 lives on. Tod and Linc might have sold the Corvette convertible, but you still can feel like you’re on the road again with the wind in your hair every time you wear our Route 66 inspired apron.

Features You’ll Love in the Route 66 Apron

Our aprons are known for the quality we sew into every one. We use only premium quality fabrics, like the “Route 66” fabric. This is why our aprons retain vibrant colors, details, and their protective powers even after being washed multiple times.

And like most of our aprons, our Route 66 apron is fully lined with a Kona cotton lining. The lining, straps, and trim are all a calming earth-tone color. This premium lining helps your apron last and enhances its protective powers to keep your clothing stain-free.

You can relax in the knowledge that as you cook, clean, create, and celebrate, your clothing is protected. You’ll never see a flimsy, cheap apron with our name on it. We just don’t make that product.

Next, topstitching — we use it to finish every one of our aprons. Topstitching simply makes garments look more finished, more professional. That’s important to us because we want you to feel special when you put on one of our aprons. We add the little touches so that you can feel proud to keep your apron on even after company has arrived.

And what would all this be without a great fit? With a 29-inch length by 30-inch width, our fully adjustable apron fits most adults.

What’s an apron without pockets? Limited, right? Not ours. The four wide and deep pockets you’ll find in the Route 66 apron free your hands for all the important stuff — like sipping a relaxing glass of wine. We design apron pockets with the intention to provide a convenient place to keep the things you need while you cook. So, you’ll find room for your eyeglasses, cell phone, recipes, or the remote control inside.

Get a Perfect Fit with Our Adjustable Drawstring Strap

When we say this apron fits most adults, we’re serious. But how? The secret is our unique adjustable strap. First, it takes the discomfort out of wearing an apron. This one-piece strap is fully adjustable from your neck to your waist. It ties in one place — at the waist. And the ties are extra long, so everyone gets a comfortable fit. You get to wear your apron your way.

People wear their aprons differently — some like the bib high; others like it low. Our drawstring strap lets you adjust yours any way you want it. Just hold the bib where the strap feeds through and pull the strap up or down. The strap ensures that whether you’re short or tall, slender or full-figured, man or woman, you’ll get a comfortable fit. (Watch one of our customers demonstrate the adjustable strap in her apron here.) Customers tell us that our aprons are the most comfortable they’ve ever worn.
