Did you know the first teacups in England lacked handles? That’s right. Early English teacups were modeled on those used throughout China, and Chinese tea bowls didn’t have handles. It wasn’t until the late 1700s that someone decided it simply wasn’t acceptable for English ladies to have to burn their hands just to get a proper cup of tea.

Of course, long before that, the English had taken tea into their hearts, and set a time for tea during their day. And because we think the day just goes better when you make time for tea, we thought our next apron should be something tea related.

Introducing A Time for Tea

Introducing the “A Time for Tea” apron based on the delightful Tea for Two Tossed Cups design by Susan Winget. Teacups with stripes, polka dots, and more dot a soft green background. This is a premium 100% cotton fabric, often used for quilting. We line it with a brown 100% Kona cotton lining to make it even stronger and more stain resistant.

Did we mention strong? Like all our aprons, our teacup apron is topstitched to increase its durability and give it a nice finished look.

At a 30-inch width and 29-inch length, A Time for Tea provides coverage in addition to strength. This apron will safeguard your clothing.

Four pockets mean ample space for the doodads you carry around throughout the day, such as your eyeglasses and cellphone or the things you require for cooking.

Wear This Teacup Apron Your Way with Our Adjustable Strap

Do you dislike tying an apron because it never fits well? Not anymore. We’ve taken the hassle out of tying an apron. A Time for Tea uses an adjustable strap design, as do most of our aprons. It’s fully adjustable, and it will let everyone get their perfect fit. It’s one piece, and it ties in one place – at the waist.

People wear their aprons differently – some like it high; others like it low. Our drawstring strap lets you adjust your apron your way. Just hold the bib where the strap feeds through and pull the strap up or down. The strap ensures all sizes get a comfortable fit. People love it because it’s simple and it just plain works.
