Before cars, firehouse Dalmatians played a critical role, first, barking to let bystanders know to clear the way for an oncoming fire truck. Horses pulled the fire trucks, but, often, they were afraid of fire. The fearless Dalmatians rode alongside them to help keep the horses calm as they neared the fire. At the fire, Dalmatians guarded the fire trucks and its belongings while firefighters did their job.

Our Firefighters’ Dogs Apron

Our Firefighters’ Dogs apron honors Dalmatians and their friends in the station house. Made from the Hero Helpers Puppy Dog fabric from David Textiles, it is 100% cotton with a 100% black Kona cotton lining.
